DEVOTION TO BLESSED MOTHER TERESA
The parishioners of St. Mary’s have a strong devotion to Mother Teresa.
Since 2000, the following prayer is recited at the end of each Mass:
Prayer of Mother Teresa
Lord, open our eyes, so that we may recognize our brothers and sisters.
Lord, open our ears, so that we may hear the cry of the hungry,
the cold, the fearful, and the oppressed.
O Lord, open our hearts, so that we may love one another, as you love us.
Renew in us your spirit, Lord, make us free and united.
In 2001, a beautiful stained glass window that highlights this contemplation-inviting
shrine was dedicated to Mother Teresa, exemplifying the generosity of spirit,
compassion, and love intrinsic to St. Mary’s mission.
